In 2006-07, HZL reported record Revenues and profit on account of higher production, improved efficiency and robust LME prices. Revenues grew by 120% to Rs. 8560 Crores (INR) and profit after tax by 202% to Rs. 4442 Crore (INR).

Towards Climate change, HZL has embarked on various measures to reduce greenhouse gas emission. HZL has set up Wind Energy Farms (38.4 MW in March 2007) and further 110.4 MW is under implementation.
