7.5 MW Rice Husk based Power Plant in AP gets Certified Emission Reductions
Indur Green Power, a 7.5 MW capacity biomass power plant ( based on rice husk, juliflora, and bagasse) in AP has been issued 56,997 CERs.
The project is a 7.5 MW capacity grid-connected biomass based renewable energy power plant with high-pressure steam turbine configuration.
The power plant has one condensing steam turbo generator unit with a matching boiler of traveling grate type capable of firing multi fuels with rice husk, bagasse and Juliflora as the main fuels.
The boiler is sized to produce a maximum of 33 tons per hour of steam. The steam turbine is a straight condensing type machine with uncontrolled bleeds for de-aerator feed water heating. The steam conditions at the boiler heat outlet are a pressure of 67 kg/cm2 and temperature of 4950C.
The project is operational since February 2003.
The project was registered with CDM in June 2006.
Designated Operational Entity : DET NORSKE VERITAS
Date of Issue of CERs : 23 April, 2010.
[It may be mentioned that the project has been issued CERs thrice previously during Feb 2003 to March 2009. The amount of CERs include 103675 , 27898 and 56997 respectively]
