Location of the Project (Village / District / State) Nagaon Paper Mill, Kagajnagar, Jagi Road, Morigaon district and Cachar Paper Mill, Panchgram, Hailkandi district, Assam.
Brief Description of the Project The bamboo dust generated, which is now dumped at a waste disposal site for the purpose of land reclamation, will be converted into briquettes and subjected to thermal gasification in an open top down-draft reburn gasifier in order to obtain producer gas. The producer gas thus obtained will be utilized as fuel in the rotary kiln of the LMRP. The utilization of this producer gas will lead to reduction in the consumption of furnace oil in the lime kiln of the LMRP. The renewable energy project activity will result in 260 ltrs/hr reduction in the consumption of furnace oil.
