Location of the Project (Village / District / State) Village: Aranthangi in District: Pudukottai, Tamil Nadu.
Brief Description of the project The proposed project will generate 10 MW of electricity using woody biomass as fuel, principally from Prosophis Juliaflora but also from eucalyptus, Casuarina, coconut residue and groundnut stalks as auxiliary fuels, which are renewable energy sources. The plant will consist of one bi-drum bottom boiler with natural circulation, a no bleed cum condensing steam turbine of 10 MW, a fuel handling and feeding system, firing system, air cooled condenser, electrical system, power evacuation system and control system. The boiler will use woody biomass as fuel.
