Reducing Heat Lose due to atmosphere along with the flue gases

Name of Project Reducing Heat Lose due to atmosphere along with the flue gases by utilizing it for preheating of combustion air of service boiler at Indo-Gulf Fertilizer, Jagdishpur

Location of the Project (Village / District / State) Jagdishpur, Sultanpur District, U.P.

Brief Description of the Project The project activity adopts energy efficient technology measures in ammonia plant and reduces the fuel consumption of service boiler, which subsequently reduces Co2 emissions. The combustion air preheater is of tubular type and IGF has carried out a unique scheme re-routing air/flue gas ducts of service boiler. Besides this, it was entirely unconventional practice in fertilizer industry to retrofit/modify critical equipments like Service Boiler which was required for salubrious function of plant. The technology employed for combustion air preheating is state-of-art and environment friendly.
