Brief Description of the Project The proposed plant is based on Direct Combustion Technology. A thermal steam power plant continuously converts energy stored in fuels (fossil/biomass) into mechanical energy and ultimately into electrical power. Waster is used as the working medium to carry energy released by fuels and to convert the energy into mechanical energy. Upon transfer of energy released by fuels, water becomes high pressure and high temperature steam, which is very potential pack of thermal energy and is ready to do any mechanical work. Same principles are used in conversion of thermal energy into mechanical energy by rotating the turbine blades. The purpose of the project is to collect and utilize available sustainably growth and un-utilized waste biomass resource effectively for generation of electricity. The technology used for power generation is environmentally friendly and will significantly contribute to the reduction of environmental pollutions, which in turn will directly affect the local and global environment.

Baseline Methodology Title: Type I.D. Renewable electricity generation for a grid. Reference: Indicative Simplified baseline & monitoring methodologies for selected small-scale CDM project activity categories, I.D./Version 08 Scope1 dated 3rd March 2006. For Project activity the base line scenario was determined as equivalent electricity generation from grid. It states that the baseline is the KWh produced by the renewable generating unit multiplied by an emission coefficient.

Project Start date July 2005.

Project completion date will start commercial activity by January 07.
