Brief Description of the project The Combined Cycle Power Project (CCPP) with installed capacity of 360.788 MW comprises of two () Gas Turbine (GT) Generating units of GE Alstom, France, two () Waste Heat recovery Generators (HRG) of Hanjung, Korea and one common Steam turbine Generating (STG) unit of Alstom, France, along with all Electrical Systems, Control and Instrumentation, Civil, Structural and Architectural works. The power generated from the Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine Generating Units is stepped upto 0 KV by generator transformers and APTRANSCO’s 0 KV transmission lines evacuate Power through Kondapalli 0 KV Substation. The Power project was designed for use of liquid fuel like naptha. In the project activity, gas based combined cycle configuration has been used for power generation with natural gas as primary fuel. Heat recovery units and steam turbines maximizes cycle efficiency and power output.
