Location of the Project (Village / District / State)
Kundargi Village, Biligi Taluk, Bagalkot District, Karnataka.
Brief Description of the project The cogeneration project originally envisaged with two turbines, viz. Phase-1 with 15 MW extraction cum condensing turbine for export and Phase-2 with 0 MW backpressure turbine for captive consumption. The project is a grid connected bagasse based cogeneration power plant with a high pressure steam turbine
configuration. The project comprises of 90 tons per hour (TPH) capacity steam generator with the outlet steam parameters of 67 kg/cm2 and 485º C coupled with 15 MW capacity turbine generator set of double extraction cum condensing (DEC) type and 40 TPH boiler with the outlet steam parameters of 64 ata and 4800C with 6 MW backpressure turbine.
Estimate of GHG abatement in tCO2 eq. 238,42
