BHEL to expand Haridwar Unit

BHEL is planning to expand its manufacturing capacity at its Hardiwar plant. The project involves increasing the capacity of its blade shop in Haridwar to 2.25 lakh blades with an investment of Rs.2,200 million. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2009. In addition to this, the company is also setting up a new fabrication plant and a central stamping unit at Jagdishpur in Uttar Pradesh at an investment of Rs 3,060 million.
