Chind Iron & Steel Industries is setting up a biomass power plant in Chhattisgarh. The project involves setting up a 8 MW power plant at village Chorha in District Durg, Chhattisgarh, using coal and rice husk in the ratio of 25:75. AFBC boilers will be installed. DM plant will be installed to meet the water requirement. Air-cooled condensers will be provided. As of December 2007, the project has been cleared by ministry of environment and forests.
