Amrit Bio Energy & Industries is planning to set up a biomass power plant.

Amrit Bio Energy & Industries is planning to set up a biomass power plant at Bangtahi village in Morigaon district of Assam. The project involves setting up a 10 MW plant with an estimated investment of Rs.550 million. As of December 2007, the foundation stone for the project has been laid. The company plans to commission the project in 18-20 months. Meanwhile,
the company’s bio mass power project in Bankura district of West Bengal is under implementation and is expected to generate power by January 2008.
