Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilisers is planning to set up a new methanol synthesis unit at its fertilisers complex at Bharuch in Gujarat. The proposed unit will have an installed caapcity of 1000 tpd and will entail an investment of Rs.8,000 million. As of October 2007, the company is in the process of obtaining the necessary clearances need for the project. The unit is scheduled to be commissioned in end 2007.
