Travancore Cochin Chemicals is planning to expand capacity. The company plans to expand its unit located near Eloor in Kerala from 175 tpd to 225 tpd with an investment of Rs.550 million. The project is to be funded internal resources and assistance from banks. Work on the project is expected to begin in end 2007 and will be completed in 15 months. Apart from this, the company is also exploring the possibilities of setting up a mini hydel plant for captive consumption in joint venture with public sector companies in that region like Malabar Cements.
