Wartsila Corp is planning to set up a new manufacturing facility in India. The project involves setting up a assembling unit to manufacture controllable pitch propellers for ships. The proposed project will be set up at Wartsila’s manufacturing unit in Khopoli, near Mumbai. The project is estimated to cost Rs.375 million. As of September 2007, work on the project has started.
