Jayshree Chemicals is planning to expand its chlor alkali plant capacity. The project involves increasing the capacity of Chlor-Alkali Plant Caustic Soda Plant (Membrane Cell) Plant from 58,400 tpa to 70,000 tpa with an investment of Rs.1,800 million. On completion, the plant will be capable of manufacturing 200 tpd of caustic soda, 128 tpd of liquid chlorine, 154 tpd of Hydrochloric acid and 90 tpd of Sodium Hypochlorite. The project is expected to be completed by 2010. As of September 2007, the project has obtained clearance from ministry of environment and forests.
