SPEL Semiconductors has reported progress on its expansion programme.

SPEL Semiconductors has reported progress on its expansion programme. The project involves expanding its capacity to assemble and test chips from 250 million units a year to 425 million a year with an investment of US$ 7.7 million. As of August 2007, the project is in the advanced stages of commissioning and the unit will go on stream in September -October 2007.
