Unichem Laboratories Ltd is setting up a special economic zone (SEZ) at Pithampur in MP.

Unichem Laboratories Ltd is setting up a special economic zone (SEZ) at Pithampur in MP. The company has leased about 27.5 acres of the land notified by the M.P. Government for the purpose. The company is planning to invest about Rs.500 million towards the development in the first phase. Besides development, the company is also setting up a a formulations plant to make finished dosage forms of medicine in the proposed SEZ. The SEZ project is to be completed within 18 months.
