Sancorn Agro Processing is planning to set up a 60 KLPD Grain Based Multi Product Distillery Project at Salwadi Taluka in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra. The proposed unit will process 200 metric tonnes of maize per year to prodcue Maltodextrine, High Maltose syrup, Dextrose monohydrate, Liquid Glucose, Pharma grade Liquid Glucose, Maize Starch and starch derivatives etc in the first phase and products like Dextrose Anhydrous, Ethanol & Grain Spirit in the second phase. The project is estimated to cost Rs.300 million and is to financed through equity and long term loans. In May 2007, the project was given consent by Maharashtra State Pollution Control Board and the project is expecting clearance from ministry of environment and forests.
