Uma Precision to Expand Capacity
Uma Precision, a manufacturer of precision assemblies, systems and machined parts for auto and electrical industries is planning to take up a major expansion programme with an investment of Rs.910 million. The project involves setting up a facility at Uttarakhand to manufacture auto components, setting up a a cold forging plant at Waluj, Aurangabad and setting up two Delta Surface coating plants at Koregaon Bhima and Bangalore. The new plant at Uttarakhand is under implementation and is expected to go onstream in December 2007. The company has also signed a licensee agreement with Doerken MKS Systems GmbH & Co KG for surface coating plants. As of July 2007, the company is in the process of floating IPO to mobilise funds for the new projects.
