Sagar Cements to expand capacity

Sagar Cement is undertaking an expansion to increase its clinker capacity from 0.60 million tons per annum (mtpa) to 2.00 mtpa and its cement capacity from 0.30 mtpa to 2.30 mtpa. The project will be established adjacent to the existing plant on the land already owned by SCL. SCL is located near the Mattampally village in Nalgonda district. The expansion will involve the construction of a second clinker kiln and grinding unit, in addition to modification of existing equipment/infrastructure. The project is estimated to cost Rs.3600 million and is to be funded through loans from IFC ( Rs.1000 million) and internal accruals.
