East Coast Energy Plans 2600 MW CCPP
East Coast Energy is planning to set up a a 2600 MW gas based combined cycle power plant at Revu Polavaram village, District Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The project will be implemented in two phases of 1300 MW each. Natural gas from KG basin will be used as fuel. About 6.0 MMSCMD of gas will be required for each phase. The land requirement is estimated as 300 acres. As of July 2006, the company is in the process of taking up Environmental Impact Assessment Study for the proposed project.
