Deepak Fert Plans Ammonium Nitrate Facility

Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation is planning to set up an ammonium nitrate Greenfield project at Paradip in Orissa. The proposed plant will have an installed capacity of 300,000 tpa. The technology for the wet section is being provided by Grande Paroisse of France and for the dry section by Udhe, Germany. DFPCL has awarded the work of detailed engineering design contract to Udhe India, the Indian subsidiary of Udhe Gmbh. The company has awarded the technology contract for the project to Jacobs H&G. The project is estimated to cost Rs.4000 million and is to be funded through debt (Rs.2650 million) and internal accruals (Rs.1350 million). The project is scheduled for completion by July 2009.
