Arasmeta Captive Power to Double Capacity

Arasmeta Captive Power , a subsidiary of Cement major Lafarge India is planning to expand its captive power plant by two fold. The project involves setting up a 1×43 MW Coal Based Thermal Power Plant in addition to its existing unit of similar capacity at Gopal Nagar in Champa district of Chhattisgarh. As of May 2007, the project has obtained clearance from ministry of environment and forests.
