Bhushan Steel plans new projects in WB
Bhushan Steel is planning to set up steel projects in West Bengal. The project involves setting up a 2.0 million tpa integrated steel plant and a captive power plant in Burdwan district of West Bengal and a 0.5 mtpa capacity cold rolled and galvanizing plant for automobile grade steel in North 24 Parganas district. As of May 2007, the company has signed an MoU with state government of WB and WBIDC for the proposed project. The project is estimated to cost Rs.88,000 million.
