Parbati – II Hydel Project – Current Status

National Hydro Electric Power Corp has reported progress on its 4 x 200 MW Parbati – II Hydel project in Himachal Pradesh. The project was initiated in September 2002.
Current Status :
Dam- 85 m high concrete Gravity: Excavation completed. 80010 cum Dam & Inlet structure concreting out of 188609 cum completed.

Suryadev Alloys & Power is planning to set up a Mini Steel Plant with a capacity to produce 140,000 tpa of rolled products at Gummidipoondi in Thiruvallur district of TN. As of May 2007, the project has obtained clearance from ministry of environment and forests.
