Vesuvius plans new refractory in AP
Vesuvius India is planning to set up a new refractory in AP. The project involves setting up a a 2,000-tonnes per month (tpm) capacity alumina silicate monolithic refractory manufacturing unit in Vizag, near its existing unit. The project is estimated to cost Rs. 110-120 million. As of April 2007, the company has acquired 6.5 acres of land required for the project. The new unit is scheduled to be commissioned in January - March 2008.
