Bhoruka Power reports progress on 24 MW Chayadevi mini HEP

Bhoruka Power Corp has reported progress on its 24 MW Chayadevi Mini Hydel project on the Krishna river in Southern India shall be located at village Shorapur in the Gulbarga district about 7 KM from Narayanpur dam and about 120 KM from the town of Raichur in the state of Karnataka in Southern India. The project activity envisages utilizing spills from Narayanpur dam located in Bijapur District ofKarnataka. The scheme comprises of a diversion structure across river Krishna, power canal of length of 1500 meters, two penstocks of short length, powerhouse with two TG units and a short tailrace channel.It is estimated that the power generation from the hydro project in a 75% dependable year basis, will be 49.5 Gwh. The turbines are vertical full Kaplan type directly coupled with synchronous generators. Generation of power is at 11 kV and the same is stepped up to 110 kV by a power transformer. 110 kVline of 17 Kms is drawn and connected to 110 kV bus extension at “Lingasuguru” sub-station of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited.
